About Megan

Megan Troup is a middle grade fantasy writer from Colorado. Before diving into storytelling, she lived many lives—as a hotel concierge, a travel director, an expat in Dublin, Ireland, and an ELA/Journalism teacher. Now she explores magical worlds. Megan loves warm drinks (best under a blanket near a fire), hiking with her family, and travel. She’s visited 19 real countries, and several imaginary ones, but wants to experience more of both.

Her work-in-progress, Mira Devlin of the Shadowed Skies, is a 2023 nominee for Rocky Mountain SCBWI’s Golden Pen Award, and a 2023 Reader’s Favourite for Write-Mentor’s Novel-In-Development Award.
